The automotive industry is expected to see accelerating electrification and intelligence, with vehicles themselves becoming an integral part of social infrastructure. There are high expectations for the realization of zero traffic accidents through advances in IT technologies, as well as for the delivery of personalized and comfortable in-vehicle experiences through the software-driven evolution of automobiles. As a result, expectations for IT continue to rise. At the same time, the industry faces new challenges, including preparedness for geopolitical risks and the entry of companies from other sectors, and is in the midst of a major structural transformation. In the IT field as well, a wide range of cutting-edge technologies, including AI, are sweeping across the globe, ushering in an era in which conventional assumptions no longer apply.
In this environment, we will drive transformation toward a mobility society by leveraging the strengths we have cultivated over the years, as well as through co-creation with our partners. In addition, our core business of system and service development is also entering a period of significant transformation. Moving forward, rather than adhering to traditional approaches, we will advance the creation of systems built on the premise of constant change, developing them in a new style that integrates our expertise and know-how with AI. Furthermore, we are committed to maintaining high-quality operations and ensuring information security without compromise so that our services can be used safely and with confidence.
As a member of a Monozukuri industry, under the guiding principle of “Producing Happiness for All,” we will continue to refine the power of IT and engage directly with the voices of everyone involved in automobile manufacturing—including Toyota and the Toyota Group—based on the principle of Genchi Genbutsu.
