Solving social issues with innovative technologies

Toyota Systems is working to solve the issues of society through unique innovatives, such as battery diagnosis technology and driving behavior analysis. The world's first deterioration diagnosis technology for in-vehicle batteries achieves 90% accuracy in just three minutes. This promotes to the reuse of batteries and contributes to reduction of environmental impact. In addition, our technology to analyze the cognitive functions of elderly drivers offers a new solution for the realization of a safe mobility-based society. These technologies go beyond the field of mobility and are being utilized to solve a wide range of social issues, including environmental conservation and response to the aging of society.

Toyota Systems supports Toyota's monozukuri with technologies such as CG, VR and MR.
Simulation using state-of-the-art technology enables verifying the production processes before actual manufacturing begins. This reduces development costs and shortens production periods. Other technologies, such as simulations for evaluation and verification and big data analysis for predictions, also contribute to improving the quality of vehicles and mobility services.

We are also advancing the reform of work operations. For example, by introducing electronic records at dealer sites, dealers can understand the condition of a customer’s car even before they arrive for inspections or repairs. This improves productivity and also reduces waiting time for customers.

More than half of Toyota’s vehicles are manufactured overseas, so processes such as logistics for the parts required for manufacturing must be optimized globally.

Furthermore, we have built a common platform on private cloud and servers to be able to deliver a high-quality IT infrastructure quickly and cost-effectively, enabling more efficient system development and cost reduction.
